Celebrating Life: Women’s Cancer Support Group

Cancer. A most hideous disease. It can rob us of our dignity and hope for life – but it doesn’t have to! Dr. Diane Parrish, Sr. pastor of Kennesaw UMC, a cancer survivor herself, along with an amazing group of women are starting a “Celebrating Life – Woman’s Cancer Support Group.” Parrish says, “I choose to celebrate life with every breath in my body. Every morning when I open my eyes I remind myself that I have another opportunity to find joy in my day.  Sure, some mornings I look in the mirror and say, “Girlfriend, you are looking a little rough this morning!’ but then I choose to CELEBRATE LIFE TODAY!’
So, ladies, if you have gone through cancer, are currently fighting the battle, or newly diagnosed, come and join this great group of women who will support you; care for you; give you a tissue once in awhile, but who will also help you in your battle!
We will gather the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Parlor.  Childcare will be provided.
Please call the church 770.428.1543, and let us know if you can join us.  May this “Celebrating Life” ministry be a blessing to you!
