Children’s Choirs

Angel and Cherub Choirs

(Ages 2-Kindergarten) – The Cherub Choir is the first choral experience offered at Kennesaw United Methodist Church. This choir fosters a love for music through singing, play, and movement. The children enjoy singing sacred songs and folksongs, exploring body percussion, and pitch matching.

Rehearsals: Sundays in room 123  5:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. (Ages 2-3), 5:30-6:00 p.m. (Ages 4-Kindergarten)

The Carol Choir

(Grades 1-2) – The Carol Choir is another step up the ladder as children are introduced to printed music for the first time. In addition to singing, the choir focuses on note-reading, and expressive music making through the singing of hymns, folksongs, and contemporary Christian songs.  The Carol Choir frequently rehearses and performs with the Chorister Choir.

Rehearsals: Sundays from 5:00 – 5:45 p.m. in room 217

The Chorister Choir

(Grades 3 – 5) – This choir is for children in the third, fourth, and fifth grade.

The Chorister Choir is a non-auditioned children’s chorus that presents special music in worship on a monthly basis. Major presentations include the annual Christmas and Spring Musicals. The Chorister Choir also presents music at various locations in the community.
