Electronic Giving
A New Way to Give at Kennesaw United Methodist Church
Our church has embraced technology and adopted a giving option that may be more convenient for many of our members – the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Program.
Otherwise called e-Giving, this began in January, 2008 and works in the same manner as electronic bill-paying programs offered by local utilities, insurance and mortgage companies.
You choose a donation frequency: semimonthly or monthly. Indicate the tithe or other $ amount you feel led to contribute to the church. You may designate gifts for the General Budget, the Faith Building Fund, or any other special offering to the United Methodist Church. Complete the remainder of the Authorization Form and mail it to the church office or drop it in the offering. The Finance office will arrange for your savings or checking account to be debited as you select.
Important Benefits of EFT
The Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program yields very significant benefits for our church and makes life easier for you:
- The satisfaction of giving to God first.
- Less work for church staff and volunteers in processing the collections.
- Less work for the church-member hand-writing checks.
- A more predictable income flow for the slow summer months at the church.
- Easier personal budgeting.
- Safe, fast and easy. In fact, it is less risky than checks, as it cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail.
New Live Donation/Payment Link
If you currently contribute to the church by check but are currently making other donations, payments or purchases online, we encourage you to look into online giving. We've recently updated our online giving page with new donor-friendly features that we think you'll find beneficial.
Now, in addition to making one-time donations and setting up automatic donation plans, members can make their own changes and view their own donation histories without any assistance from the church office. You can link to the new donation page from the church website at

Traditional Choices Remain
All members and guests may continue to give their tithes and gifts in the traditional manner using the envelope system.
EFT givers may contribute symbolically when the offering plate is passed by writing "EFT" on a pew envelope.
