A mixed, non-auditioned choir that ministers at the 11:00 am traditional service. Selections are chosen to reflect the seasons and the liturgical year drawing from a large variety of musical genres including Gospel, Spirituals, Folk Tunes, Hymns, and Classical. Major presentations include the annual Christmas and Easter Cantatas.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm in the Sanctuary
A mixed, non-auditioned choir that ministers at the 8:30 am traditional service. Selections are chosen to reflect the seasons and the liturgical year drawing from a large variety of musical genres. This is a great choir for those who can’t attend a midweek rehearsal! Participants are encouraged to sing in the Cantata Choir (Wednesday evenings)

A mixed, non-auditioned choir for 6th-12th grade students that ministers in worship every four to six weeks. The Youth Choir also ministers on the Easter and Christmas cantatas. It’s a vibrant and encouraging group that sings in four-part harmony and focuses on learning how to worship Christ.

Angel and Cherub Choirs (2-K)
The choral experience for our youngest musicians. These choirs foster a love for music through singing, play, and movement.

The Children’s Choir (1st-5th)
The next step up the ladder for our young musicians is Children’s Choir. As children are introduced to printed music for the first time. In addition to singing, the choir focuses on note-reading, and expressive music making through the singing of hymns, folk songs, and contemporary Christian songs, as well as opportunities for larger scale productions with drama and motions, including a Christmas Musical. The Children’s choir presents every four to six weeks in service.

Additional Music Opportunities
The King’s Ringers and Youth Ringers
Our handbell ensembles are for musicians of all ages and abilities! They present in worship on a monthly basis at both the 8:30 and 11:00 Traditional Worship Services. They also present on special occasions such as Christmas Eve services, Easter services, as well as others throughout the year. Our Youth Ringers ensemble is a seasonal (summer) group made up of entirely youth and led by a youth or college student (6th grade to college age).
Rehearsals: Mondays at 6:30-7:30 PM in the Sanctuary
An auditioned group of vocalists and instrumentalists who lead worship at the 9:45 service. We’re always looking for new and developing talent on drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. Open to ages youth – adult. Individuals interested in this ministry should contact Kaylynn Crites to set up an audition. Email her at kaylynn@KennesawUMC.org
Rehearsals: One evening per week leading up to Sunday’s Service, and Sunday morning run-throughs.
The Rise Band
