KUMC Foster Care Ministry

The mission of KUMC’s Foster Care Ministry is to provide a support system for foster and adoptive families in our church and community as well as meet the needs of the children in care. Parents Night Out

Parent's Night Out is back in-person in 2022! We are so excited that we are able to bring our foster children and families back on campus. Our first Parent's Night Out will be held on Friday January 28 from 6-8:30 pm. Click on the image above to register your children. We are looking forward to a great year of ministry in 2022!

Support Group Meetings

Foster Care Support group meetings are back in-person in 2022! You can sign up for these meeting and drop off your children with our child care workers while you are in the meetings. Our first Support group meeting is on February 18 from 6:30-8:30 pm. More information, including registration, will be available soon.

MONTHLY SUPPORT MEETINGS: 
These meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the month.  You will receive two training hours for each meeting you attend. We will continue to provide these training sessions virtually on Zoom.
2022 SCHEDULE:
Friday, February 18: 6:30-8:30 pm (Room 137)
Friday, April 29: 6:30-8:30 pm (Room 137)
Friday, August 26: 6:30-8:30 pm (Room 137)
Friday, November 18: 6:30-8:30 pm (Room 137)
Registration opens for each Support Group the 15th the month prior.
SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS ARE BACK IN-PERSON IN 2022!  WE ARE ABLE TO CONDUCT THIS OUTING IN A SAFE MANNER WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF WEARING MASKS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL FOSTERCARE@KENNESAWUMC.ORG.

These respite nights are for children of all ages on the 4th Fridays of the month.
Older children will have the opportunity to participate in life skill classes.
Dinner is provided and there is no charge for foster and adoptive parents.

We will maintain the Support Group training virtually, through Zoom on the 2nd Fridays with our next training planned for Friday, September 10. Look for registration in late August.
